Ke JIANGKe Jiang is a designer and educator based in Beijing, serving as a faculty member in the Department of Communication and Design at Communication University of China. She holds a PhD in Communication from Peking University and completed her design studies in Paris, a unique combination that gives her both a deep understanding of human behavior from a communication perspective and a refined sensibility for form, function, and aesthetics. Her design philosophy centers on solving small, everyday problems with elegance, always seeking a harmonious balance between practicality and visual delight. This approach has been recognized with multiple A' Design Awards, including a Silver Winner for Daughter of the Sea, a swimming assistive device designed to reduce young children's fear and physical discomfort caused by traditional external swimming aids. By combining soft materials with buoyant materials, along with friendly shapes and child‑centered aesthetics, the project helps children build water confidence naturally. Another award‑winning work addresses a common dilemma faced by modern professional women: how to transition seamlessly from a formal daytime workplace outfit to an evening social look without carrying a second wardrobe. By keeping the top unchanged while changing the bottom, the same garment serves both office decency and nighttime elegance, offering convenience and sustainability at once. Beyond these award‑winning projects, Jiang's broader design practice continues to focus on human‑centered minimalism — removing unnecessary complexity while preserving warmth, emotional comfort, and a touch of surprise. She believes that good design does not shout; it quietly removes a small frustration from someone's daily life, whether that someone is a child learning to swim or a woman moving between work and nightlife. As both a researcher trained in communication and a hands‑on designer educated in Paris, she brings a rare cross‑disciplinary perspective to every project, always asking: What small problem can I erase today with beauty and care? She looks forward to contributing to and learning from the International Association of Designers community. (Contact: kejiang@cuc.edu.cn)
