Dotline Corporate Identity by Tomohiro Kaji Dotline has been facing a huge business challenge, which is as same as others in the welfare industry: a shortage of human resources. This identity system design is to inspire a company’s vision to their staff, candidates, and related people. The company’s vision is Social Heroes. Dotline sees all staff who come for help in someone's daily life as heroes. The logo is a graphical symbol of a hero flipping a cloak and moving forward designed from the letters, D+L. As Dotline provides 7 business categories, the logos come in 7 different colors with each business name typed with a brand typeface Takanabe Ninomaru Historic Museum by Tomohiro Kaji Takanabe Historical Museum, established in 1986, was reimagined to address declining visitor engagement due to outdated exhibits. The redesign embraced JIN, the philosophy of benevolence, transforming it into a cultural and educational hub fostering civic pride. Through visual storytelling and spatial design, the renewal introduced thematic curation, immersive exhibitions, and layered acrylic panels symbolizing historical continuity. Renamed Ninomaru History Museum, it now serves as an interactive space where heritage, education, and community connect. Dotline Branding Corporate Website by Tomohiro Kaji This digital platform presents a flexible design system that integrates brand identity and diverse content into a unified structure. Developed with a smartphone first approach, it ensures accessibility across devices. The layout supports scalability while maintaining visual consistency. Motion graphics and custom typography enhance navigation and engagement, creating a clear, user centered interface tailored to the needs of welfare-related services. The modular format also allows future expansion and adaptation, supporting dynamic updates as content and service lines evolve over time. Kadowakamatsu Corporate Website by Tomohiro Kaji The Kadowakamatsu Corporate Website redefines real estate communication by positioning property as cultural infrastructure. Integrating regional context, custom typography, and a restrained grid system, the design transforms a corporate website into a narrative platform. It articulates urban value beyond pricing models through a spatial and editorial user experience, enabling multidirectional navigation and layered engagement with text, image, and projects, reframing how urban value is perceived. TMD Journal Magazine by Tomohiro Kaji TMD Journal examines type design not as visual styling but as a structured system that organizes meaning. In response to the widespread use of digital fonts as surface level assets, the publication repositions typography as a medium for constructing thought and communication. Each chapter presents an original type system through its conceptual premise, structural logic and applied context, showing how typographic decisions translate into form and use. The journal provides a framework for understanding type as an active component in branding and communication. |
