Ensenas Tool to Improve Communication by Udem Universidad de Monterrey Ensenas is a digital tool created to improve communication between people with hearing disabilities and hearing people in Mexico. Ensenas uses a machine learning model that reads Mexican Sign Language in real time and translates words into written Spanish. The model was trained with a data set of 400 videos of common signs, labeled and analyzed frame by frame through pose estimation. A responsive website presents the project and offers the research, the model and the data set for free download. The aim is to reduce the communication gap.

The Ancient Mexicans Exhibition Identity by Udem Universidad de Monterrey The Ancient Mexicans is a graphic identity for a permanent exhibition of Mexican pre-Hispanic cultures at the Museum of the Northeast in Monterrey, Mexico. The identity is based on the concept of constellations. A grid of points was placed over images of selected exhibition pieces, and squares and their variations were used to create pictograms for each culture and theme. The pictograms are reflected and repeated to form patterns that work as modules and adapt to each application. Information design within the exhibition supports the visitor experience.

Food Into Opportunities Recipe Book by Udem Universidad de Monterrey Food Into Opportunities is a recipe book created to help households reduce food waste. The book is addressed to women aged 30 to 60. A hybrid format combines the printed book with digital content shared on social media platforms. The first edition focuses on fruits and vegetables and explains how to use them at different stages of ripeness. Storage advice and seasonal recipes support the full use of each ingredient. The standard letter size, hardcover binding and sewn pages suit frequent use in the kitchen.
