Franck GiralCEO and Founder of ABD Architecture, I am an engineer and PMP (Project Management Professional) turned architect in Japan.
I am specialized in project management, master planning design and architectural design for construction projects in ski resorts in Japan. My design leans heavily on technical knowledge in construction methods and structural engineering, and thrives to achieve a coherent and seamless design for our wealthy international clientele. Ice and Fire Chalet by Franck Giral Ice and Fire is a rental chalet designed for a narrow plot in the Niseko ski resort in Hokkaido, Japan. The two-level holiday home contains a garage, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a Japanese bath, with 220.74 square metres of interior space. Dark metal cladding protects the building from the cold weather, and vertical standing seams run down from the roof. Natural cedar and oak and a fireplace at the core of the living area warm the interior. Balconies, side setbacks and small side windows provide privacy, while the second floor frames views of Mount Yotei. Grand Tsuru Niseko Ski Villa by Franck Giral Located minutes away from Niseko's international ski slopes and surrounded by silver birches, these 3 exclusive ski rental properties boast a harmonious design with extended eaves and a light wood structure, inspired by the graceful flight of the crane, from which they derive their name, Grand Tsuru. Each offers a spacious living area with tall windows providing picturesque views, two bedrooms adorned in Japanese style, and a master bedroom featuring a large Japanese tiled bath. The staircase, bathed in light, seamlessly connects and brightens all corners of the skip floor properties. |
