Jonathan NiehTo me, designing a logo is just like naming a child. My hope is that with every logo I design, it truly represents what each company stands for, their values, passions, and dreams, just like how everyone’s names have their own meanings. This is what inspires me to do what I do; I want each and every logo to stay and grow with the business, because it’s the face and soul of the company.
by Modern Chinese Chair by Jonathan Nieh Modern Chinese is an armchair intended for seating and also suitable for display as an art piece. The form borrows from the traditional Chinese armchair and from Marcel Breuer's No. B33 chair. CNC processing shapes plywood and solid walnut into a fluid and seamless outline, replacing the angular parts and woodworking joints of traditional construction. The structure and the strength of the wood were calculated to support body weight. A metal tube frame was studied first, but wood was chosen for its warmer appearance. |
