lakeside living house and garden by Stephan Maria Lang The Architecture is to express a relationship to nature in which the house is part of the natural environment - recreating a lakeshore with discreet interventions and a simple wooden shell sitting carefully on the landscape acting as a refuge. Lucent shadows from the existing trees enter the space. The grass area seems to extend the interior of the house. The aim of this project was to create Organic Architecture by expressing the site character, the articulation of space and material, the light design and the contrasting quality of private and open space.

House L019 Privat Residence by Stephan Maria Lang In the whole house it was used a simple but sophisticated material and color concept. White walls, wooden oak floors and local Limestone for bathrooms and chimneys. The precisely crafted detailing creates an atmosphere of sensitive luxury. Exactly composed vistas determines the free floating L-shaped living space.

House Elvesgarden Privat Residence by Stephan Maria Lang The project was an attempt to create something powerful without being loud. A sensitive place that gives tranquility and offers various perspectives to the surrounding nature. It is all about light and the countless approaches to its counterpart: the shadow. The house was build for a young widow as a retreat for her soul. The atmosphere is influenced by the Japanese culture of semi dark shadowed rooms where the colors seem damped and the glow comes from within. A world where darkness is full of warmth and profound colorfulness.

L011 Shingle Residential House by Stephan Maria Lang Through the poetic dimension of natural light, the discovery of shadow, and the light touch of sunlight, rooms were created with the intention to touch the heart and soul. The art of controlling the natural and artificial light in the interior concept brings an immediate physical involvement of the people in the changing seasons' underlines the volatility of the reality and the interdependence between humans and the natural environment. This requires an organic merge between architecture and nature.

House GR31 Private Residence by Stephan Maria Lang Providing a private and sheltered space closely tied to the local natural landscape this t-shape sculptural villa for a family is a celebration of Indoor outdoor feeling and is set slightly angled in the site to maximize the views. A simple but sophisticated material and color concept is the perfect setting for the owns. Different light related garden qualities like a sunken courtyard for the indoor pool aerea, the morning sun play and herb kitchen garden, the outside dining terrace and the open lounge to the evening sun.

House LW27 Private Residence by Stephan Maria Lang The borders of the side are hidden by a whole group of newly planted canopying trees, which provide natural Sun protection. Several micro spaces created around the house give a complex and calm outdoor atmosphere. On ground level, an open floor plan living area flows freely from east to west along the pool. Floor to ceiling sliding windows allowing inside outside living all year round. The lush planted roof terrace with a whirlpool connects to the family office space. A sensual, minimalistic atmosphere is carefully detailed with great attention to light changing in natural dominated shades.
