Adam AnkiewiczLaunched his studies in architecture in 1998 at the University of East London, where he studied for a year. He then moved to Poland and in 2008 graduated as an engineer-architect from the Warsaw University of Technology.
Author of a design project to erect an observatory in the Antarctic, created in close cooperation with the European Space Agency. Co-authored projects, which received honorable mentions in the 2014 Brick Awards, as well as in the category for the best object for public use in the 2014 SARP (Association of Polish Architects) competition. Polish architect, designer, author and producer of MEWA tiles. Warssawa brand creator where the tiles are fully handmade. The brand name is a word play on the architect’s home town Warsaw. Years of working as an architect, fulfilling his visions and realizations, led him to discover his internal need to create regional artistic craftwork. To alter his career path Adam completed courses in cement technology organized by the Polish Cement Association together with the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. He set up Warssawa and now creates products of the highest quality with respect to their design and technology. by |
