Anil ReddyI am a designer turned Entrepreneur with 16 plus years of experience in the digital space. I envision to put India on a world map as a one stop “Design Destination” and have been actively contributing towards strengthening the design eco-system by enabling designers and designs through talks, workshops, CSR activities and of course through my design studio Lollypop.
Lucky to have discovered my passion in early childhood days as I excelled in arts and drawing competitions and was just a mediocre in studies. My parents always wanted to see me as an engineer but my heart was into the field of Arts, not a very reputed profession back in 90's. Post my higher secondary, I wanted to enrol in school of Design but was opposed by everyone around. Unwary of everyone I followed my heart and took up various part time jobs to complete my design school. I explored the field of comic strips to art direction in moves where I would create the entire sets for movies but none was stable or regularly paid for. In my search, I was introduced to world of computers and my fascination just grew multiple times. I still remember how back in those days when world was just being introduced to computers there were absolutely no tools except for my sketchbook and pencil. And the hours I spent on illustrations and giving the effects and explaining it to the animators. Post my 2 years at Saudi Arabia, he flew to New-Zealand school of Design to complete my masters. I started as web/ graphic designer and grew to the position of Art Director in the field of computer interaction. Over the period of years I have designed digital/web campaigns for Coke, Adidas, BP, Nissan, Sony Play Station to name a few while working with International AD Agencies like Ogilvy,NZ and TBWA, NZ. After working for 9 years in New-Zealand, I returned to Bangalore, India to start my own design studio. When I introduced the concept in India not many were aware of the design field and none wanted to invest. Everyone would spend millions on physical office, product and its packaging but would not spend on their digital presence. I started alone and designed for various companies at an exceptional nominal rates. In course of 4 years, Lollypop has designed over 120 projects collaborating with clients across 11 countries and reimagining 15 plus domains. Most of the works have gained much recognition. by by by by Act Telecom Application by Lollypop Design Studio Atria Convergence Technologies is a mobile application interface created for a telecommunications service provider.
