Dave Colliver is a professional with more than 25 years hands on and leadership experience in a range of industries and roles (predominantly within manufacturing environments) and as a result, possesses a suite of highly diverse and transferable skills.

Residing in Adelaide, South Australia, Dave has made direct contributions to customer satisfaction, product & service quality, overall business effectiveness, market share and revenue for internationally competitive organizations.

Dave has built on extensive first-hand experience in product design, quality and continuous improvement to develop a style based on non-reductionist minimalism, holding a firm belief in Design for Lean and stating “simple style should not mean compromising on a rich customer experience”.

Dave says “Design is about pulling emotions and ideas together to create new ways of meeting needs and desires. Design for me has always been about using inherent forms, properties and forces to their utmost, in the simplest way possible, to achieve interesting outcomes. It’s not about making things happen – it’s about removing the barriers so they can just happen the way they are meant to, physically and emotionally”.

As an Industrial Design graduate of the internationally renowned UniSA and as a recipient of awards from the Design Institute of Australia and A’Design, Dave sees good design as an inseparable part of good business and great customer experiences.

“I love designs that focus on the simple things, transforming activities we often take for granted into experiences that people can take pleasure in with an appreciation that can grow over time and endure. I’m more into creating lasting cherished experiences than an instant wow factor that fades”.
