Jo Zhu graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor degree of Interior Design and he had been an interior designer more than a decade. He gathered remarkable experience in designing excellent interiors. With passion in art and creation Zhu established his own design furniture brand Suyab Furniture. His intuitive perception on materials enables logical and exquisite connection between his furniture designs and interiors, and also provides artistic impression.

Jo Zhu finds favor in oriental aesthetic, but rejects massively using identical oriental figure or symbol in designing furniture. He also wants the user to live in here and now without being subject to traditional living style. He admires design masters Tony Chi and Chi Wing Lo, his design method is to imply oriental feelings by the collaboration of proportions, colors, materials, and crafts. He chooses to make his furniture designs look modern and applicable in modern life style.
