I am an internationally awarded photographer with a love of searching the unusual in the ordinary and a passion for creating pictures that almost demand an interaction with the beholder.
In my work, it is all about the evocation of thoughts, associations, emotions and memories.

Since 2013 Florian W. Mueller is a professional member of the honorable BFF Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter and works as a photographer and artist homebased in Cologne. In the same year he founded the „jetztzeit Club“ together with Nadine Targiel and Michael Streckbein to exhibit together, to show the unusual and to give eyes and thoughts a moment to pause.
2016 he joined the honorable AOP Association of Photographers in London and was prompt finalist at the great 2016 AOP Awards.

Drive2Extremes Multivision Photography Artwork by Florian W. Mueller Drive2Extremes Multivision is a series of photographic artworks that unites two extreme landscapes in single images. The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo was first photographed on a frozen bog in Lapland, north of the Arctic Circle. Two weeks later the car was placed in the same position relative to the camera, and at a similar sun position, in the Arabian desert in the United Arab Emirates. The two views were then merged through multiple exposure techniques. The aim was to bring polar and desert scenery together in one picture. The artworks were produced in several sizes.

Multivision Porsche Shanghai Photography Artwork by Florian W. Mueller Multivision Porsche Shanghai is a photography artwork series created for Porsche China. Each image combines three photographs in a single frame through multiple exposure. The series shows the different faces of Shanghai, from traditional Chinese districts and the architecture of the Former French Concession to modern glass and steel buildings. A sports car appears in every picture and stays recognisable despite the layered surroundings. The images were made with digital photography and are produced as fine-art prints mounted on aluminium composite panels in limited editions.

IKARUS Photography Artwork by Florian W. Mueller Ikarus is a photography series showing preserved bird specimens from extinct or highly endangered species. Each bird is portrayed in the manner of a Rembrandt painting, and the background of every portrait is a macro photograph of the feathers of that bird. The specimens were photographed in the ornithology collection of the Senckenberg Institute in Dresden, Germany. The title refers to the legend of Icarus, who flew too high and fell into the sea. Ikarus is the third part of a series collection called Neglect. The works are produced on ChromaLuxe material in limited editions.

SAMSA Photography Artwork by Florian W. Mueller Samsa is a photographic artwork from the series Neglect. The series shows preserved specimens of insects, most of which are extinct or critically endangered. The images were made with a digital camera system and a 105mm macro lens. A multishot function was used to create very large files of 185 megapixels. A small table-top studio was built so that the fragile specimens could be photographed with almost no handling. The prints are produced in two sizes and in limited editions. The aim is to reveal the unusual beauty of insects and to draw attention to insect extinction.

Jellybelly Artwork by Florian W. Mueller Jellybelly is a fine art photography series that portrays jellyfish. The images were taken inside a large aquarium at night, in complete darkness. Only a few artificial lights inside and outside the aquarium were used, giving the jellyfish a subtle glow. The series aims to capture the elegant movement and aesthetic of a species that is also an indicator of water quality. Each image is printed on fine art paper, mounted on aluminium and set in a black oak frame with a two centimetre shadow gap. Two limited editions are offered, sized 50 by 50 cm and 80 by 80 cm.
