Julia HellI work as a freelance graphic designer in Berlin since 2013. In my home studio I develop multidisciplinary design solutions and concepts like corporate and editorial designs as well as web designs. If required, I works in house for clients too. In the past three years I worked for other design studios, small and medium-sized businesses as well as enterprises. I provide clean yet strong designs with a focus on typography. Besides that I am doing the art direction and publishing of a non-profit magazine together with friends.
Eyesbound Portfolio Website by Julia Hell The design of the Eyesbound portfolio website is clean and simple. The focus lies on the photographs displayed on the page. The minimal usage of navigation and menu elements guides the user directly through the portfolio, the menu is sorted by categories and series. On the images detail page some meta information about the shot can be found. From the logo to backgrounds and typography concept the only colors accompanying the imagery are black and white, keeping the emphasis on the photography. Alpha Container Corporate Design by Julia Hell The corporate design was created for the film production company »Alpha Container Pictures«, short ACP, based in Berlin. They are creating solutions for interesting content. Focusing on documentaries, coverages and television magazine reports filming all over the world. To achieve a fitting visual identity for the company the corporate design is to be used like a branding layer, that goes together with the video material. The logo has two states to work on and offline and makes the design more flexible also for the actual usage on video material, in the end titles of documentation for example. Mrs T Corporate Design by Julia Hell Mrs T - Delicacies with Tea is a fine food manufactory from Hamburg, Germany. Mrs T refines traditional recipes wit tea, using it as an ingredient. The corporate design transports the high production standards, well chosen ingredients and the manufactory character of handmade goods through a classy, sleek and elegant packaging and printed goods, that accompany the products. The color range is very natural and agrees with the particularity of the products, using tea as an ingredient. Kon Paper Magazine by Julia Hell The design of the magazine is intended to put the different text forms of essay, article and poetic texts into a new context. The texts are classically published in other forms of media (e.g. books or newspapers) and are not typically mixed. There are various elements of classic newspaper and book design elements that meet in the magazine format. There are three different grids for the different sections.
