PRISM DESIGN is an international architecture and design studio whose partners have worked for many years in architectural design in various disciplines. These areas of expertise range from interior design, product design, and exhibition design (commercial spaces, hospitality, residential, health and wellness bars, restaurants, retail and office design), to art direction and design consulting for companies operating in the furniture and fashion industries. Our team is composed of a group of creative people from different backgrounds, working together in an ongoing cultural exchange. All work carried out by the Studio is characterized by a strong design identity, the result of assiduous research and creativity. This identity is found throughout all of our work and allows for innovative design and the extension of the parameters of architecture and design.

Located in the historic centre of SHANGHAI_CHINA, the studio was founded in 2009 by TOMOHIRO KATSUKI. While the headquarters are still in SHANGHAI, the studio has expanded to include international operations and now has branch in BEIJING_CHINA (2011) and TOKYO_JAPAN (2011) ,HIROSHIMA-FUKUYAMA_JAPAN(2016) .

The creative process is akin to a journey, undertaken in close collaboration with the client, creating a strong interaction between people, objects and space. These goals are achieved in agreement with each other and can bring unforeseen results, finding a balance between rational functionality and the emotional realm. Our work obtains its inspiration from continuous research and through multiple artistic influences. Each new project is a source for constant growth and evolution.

Moonlit Garden Wuxi Sales Center by Tomohiro Katsuki Wuxi place cultural materials of industry such as cloth, iron,bamboo, also Taihu Lake stone. They are tried to make full use of the characteristics of each piece of land,and bring value of an aesthetic sense of Japanese. Also plan to connecting each elements, then it is creating a architectural bond, to be a memorable interactive exhibit space for user. By this They are show a concept of Moonlit and Garden in modern Chinese style.it has also become a facility name.

Both Boutique & Music Vinyl Record Bar & Cafe by Tomohiro Katsuki Red Town is place where an ironworks in Shanghai was renovation. This great outdoor hangout spot has itself into one of Shanghai’s most popular Sculpture art districts. With galleries, cafes, exhibition spaces and creative offices, Red Town makes a great place for casual meetings and quietly working off the grid. There is also a large grassy area for reading, relaxing, doodling, picnicing and whatever it is that people. Both Boutique and Music Store is there.

SUIGETSU JAPANESE RESTAURANT JAPANESE RESTAURANT by Tomohiro Katsuki 1. They combined both ChongQing and Japanese culture in this restaurant. Some of the features were coming from ChongQing's traditional culture. While Japanese culture also play an important role in it. 2. You can feel the varies changes of ChongQing's landscape by all the hight differences of the floor. 3. The plan arrangements combined Chinese Fengshui culture. 4. This restaurant can not be defined as a Japanese restaurant, nor a Chongqing restaurant. It absorbed the similar features of these two place.

SugarLady Ladies Apparel Popup Store by Tomohiro Katsuki This design is a pop up design. They used the simplest material and technology to built it. The most unique features of this design must be the inner connection between the design itself and the concept of the brand. The name of the brand is Sugar Lady. They extracted Sugar as our key elements. By observing sugar crystal, they came up with the idea of using steel and canvas as a metaphor of charming women. Time gave them strength. However, inside their heart they were still as sweet and beauty as they always are.

Unbot inc. Office Design Office by Tomohiro Katsuki unbot is information technology service company. Therefore in this design they used the "infinity"concept of Mobius circle. An infinite cycle was designed in the office as a symbol of creation, exchange, manufacturing, success and challenge.And Individuals are the fundamental support of a company and each person's growing path were extremely similar to the growing of trees. They both suffered a lot to grow up, while they also becoming stronger with time passing by. So that they used "tree" as a symbol of the columns.

Niannujiao Jiaoding Flagship Store by Tomohiro Katsuki The “Niannujia/Jiaoding” brand is a female brand in which two brands are put together in a space. We decided to focus on balancing neutrality without breaking the two personalities. The new concept is ‘balanced neutral’ We explore the neutral balance without breaking everything. Style, color, human line, function, SKU, etc. We have always balanced the neutrality of the two brands. It is we are exploring such a new golden ratio. The world is full of many things and information. People's hearts are affected by it.
