Cristina Menezes is an architect, with a Studio named Cristina Menezes Arquitetura, which was founded in 1990 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The studio develops architectural design and interior design of houses, shops, restaurants, shows, offices, hotels and schools in Brazil , Europe and USA. The studio has won several national and international awards. Some projects were published in magazines and books around the world.

Pocket House Residential by Cristina Menezes Pocket House is a mobile residence built inside a standard 40-foot shipping container. The reused container rests on a simple support base, and the dry construction was completed by installation alone in ten days, with little waste. Sections of the steel side walls were removed and replaced with glass doors, which improve ventilation and daylight and open the interior to the garden. Wood is used as the single interior coating for the floor, walls and ceiling. The compact plan holds a bedroom, a bathroom, a living and dining area and a kitchen.

Glass House Residential by Cristina Menezes Glass House is a small residential interior design in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The house is built entirely with reflective laminated glass, which blocks ultraviolet rays and provides thermal insulation of about seventy one percent. The total built area is sixty square meters. The structure is screwed and modular, based on the sizes of the glass panels and the steel profiles, so waste is avoided and the house can be moved or modified. Certified wood, stone and textured surfaces are used inside to bring warmth to the glass shell.

Dream House Residential Apartment by Cristina Menezes Dream House is a residential apartment interior with a total area of 225 square meters. The layout is organized around connections to the outside. A balcony and large windows bring daylight and the surrounding landscape into the plan. Bathrooms and bedrooms are defined by wood panels made of MDF, which protect privacy and allow easy sectoring of the apartment. Sliding doors and a green wall support flexible use and add nature indoors. Timber floors are used in the bedrooms and synthetic stone paving in the other areas. All lighting is LED.

Casa Acqua Residential House by Cristina Menezes Casa Acqua is a residential house built in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The layout follows early Roman dwellings, with four modules arranged around an inner courtyard. The courtyard is surrounded by water mirrors that recall a central fountain. All modules are fully open to allow natural ventilation and daylight, so air conditioning is not required. Vertical awnings and windshields provide privacy and protection from sun, rain, insects and strong winds. Prefabricated modules shortened construction time and reduced waste. The total area is two hundred and ten square meters.
