Xenofon Hector Grigorelis

Grigorelis Xenofon-Hector was born in Thessaloniki where he continues to work and live, up until now. He completed his studies on interior design and he started experimenting on wood constructions. His first projects were based on design and production of pieces for commercial use as well as unique, one- of- pieces. His main goal was to combine aesthetics and workability in an interesting conjunction. After many years of experience designing, interior decorating and creating both houses and commercial shops, specializing also on bathrooms, kitchens and children’s rooms he decides to follow his restless needs and culture his artistic views and ideas in order to produce his own projects.

Sketchy Table by Xenofon Hector Grigorelis The primary operation is using it as a dinning table & secondly as a sketch board. The challenge was how to make this long dinning table steady because the legs are inclined. Much research has been made regarding the type of wood and the corresponding properties of it, like hardness & flexibility & secondly the way to make it gradient in order to be used as a sketch table, observing different styles of drawing boards so traditional joining techniques was used & also the lift mechanism is with tracks in order to receive the gradient.

Square Door Handle by Xenofon Hector Grigorelis The combination and mixing of lines, shapes and volumes gives us the final result of the handle. It has net, geometrical lines suitable for every up-to-date house. It is an everyday object, seen from an architectural perspective. The goal is to show how the external forms should access the interior space making it in this way more polished and minimal. The challenge is to create something fresh, contemporary and modern that would be able to excite the buyer from the very first sight.The main innovative characteristic of this handle is its ergonomic use and of course its texture and lcolour

Asa Sideboard by Xenofon Hector Grigorelis This project was inspired from a traditional folklore decorative scripture. It is presented with a combination of red, blue, blue-black ,green, oil and khaki colors. It is thought to be used as a sideboard as well as a decorative object both in modern and classic houses. It tries to marry tradition with modern life. It shows the way to remember the roots but also look into future. It shows the transformation from something old into something new. Simplicity with a hint of elegance.

Radiator by Xenofon Hector Grigorelis

No Way Out Radiator by Xenofon Hector Grigorelis The vertical designed lines are self connected with a special shape and give the object its defined outline. The oversized dimensions 1800X450mm and its shape offer a unique character. Its aluminium metal construction and the ability to use any desired colour, produce a special and commonly acceptable piece of work.
