House of Solace Studio Apartment by Anushka Contractor House of Solace is a compact studio apartment of 490 square feet located in an Art Deco building in Colaba, Mumbai, India. A one bedroom apartment was converted into an open studio for a single resident. The wall between the living room and the kitchen was removed so that the space appears larger. Wooden look tiles were cut into four pieces and laid in a herringbone pattern on the floor and on the main living room wall. The furniture is made of teak wood with a polyurethane paint finish. The palette joins white, black and grey with electric blue and yellow.
