Bill H. Ritchie has inspired hundreds of students, colleagues and collectors worldwide with his traditional fine art prints plus his innovations in design of printmaking equipment, tools and use of new technologies. He is a former professor of art (University of Washington, Seattle). He studied at state colleges in Washington and California and was appointed to the faculty at age 26, retired young and has devoted himself to developing a new paradigm for looking at and making fine art prints with an attendant spirit of performance, feeling a kinship with the musical arts, with his unique press designed to be his instrumentation.
