Aliki Rovithi and Foant Asour formed the Athens-based industrial design team DEDE DextrousDesign in 2007.
Humor and creative thinking, as unconscious but essential components of human existence, help DEDE understand the world around them and communicate their thoughts and beliefs. Using intuitively understood humor as a starting point for the designing of their products, DEDE build strong bonds between the product and its context of use.
They have participated in numerous exhibitions and design fairs worldwide, such as SaloneSatellite 2010 in Milan and Tendence 2012 of Messe Frankfurt, winning many prestigious awards on the way.
Aliki Rovithi was born in Athens, Greece. She received a university degree in mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and a BA (Hons) in industrial and product design from the Middlesex University (Athens branch).
