Nima Keivani

Nima keivani was born in Astara in 1981, grew up in North of Iran – His artistic activities began since 1991 with music and since 1994 with theater. Since 2001 he has made 5 short documentary films, He also has received three awards from festivals of short films in Iran and was nominated documentary film competition in Germany, He graduated with a master degree in Architecture from central Tehran branch University. From 2002 to 2008 he worked at Zandigan Architecture office and in 2008, with his brother found Ahoorana design and construction company. His professional activities in modern and luxury projects are currently underway with Keivani Architects brand. his designed Projects have been involved in various ranges of Architecture such as residential complexes, commercial buildings and restoration of architectural Heritage. Aesthetic, function, Genius loci and Vernacular Architecture have been considered in the base of his design process.
Residential Apartment by Nima Keivani

Orsi Khaneh Residential Apartment by Nima Keivani Creating a space with an Iranian Genius loci and at the same time an up to date one and respecting the biological needs of mankind, was the general idea. So the elements like water, plants, and light were especially important. The main concept of design is originally the transformed Orsi window form which is comprised of a wooden lattice together with stained glasses. Attention to the time as 4th dimension by different balcony perspectives and using light and color performances and framing in the Entrance space of building, could introduce a new generation of Iranian architecture.

Mehr Khaneh Residential Interior by Nima Keivani It is tough to combine a contemporary design with a soft, homey feel but the Mehr Khaneh can give a few pointers on how to do so. Aptly named for it is creative use of natural light while also incorporating the Persian culture of harnessing the sun’s symbols within decor. Designers sat down to figure out a way to create a stylish industrial style home, mix in the Persian style. Immediately, the idea to use concrete finishes and repurposed materials of wood and metal were the obvious choices for the 101 square meters home.

Residenial by Nima Keivani

Pardis Kahneh Residenial by Nima Keivani The 9 stories building, inspired of Persian historical vertical gardens. The facade is a combination of a simple surface that completely encloses a volume by making diagonal section cut. Surface is a wooden lattice by pattern deign inspired by the metaphorically the cedar, the dynamic lattice is so flexible that can be opened or closed by users to adjust privacy. While the other surface is totally covered by turquoise stone, is a small garden in the lobby and back yard which is like a sunken courtyard and there is a roof garden with trees.

Villa by Nima Keivani

Kabootar Khaneh Villa by Nima Keivani A pure cube to minimize the impact on their surroundings that a sloping roof is installed hidden behind the walls, a part of interior space was dedicated for birds, inspired by historical dovecotes. The interior spaces is formed around the patio where the birds live, created cross-sectional play and level differences in the spaces, as well as design of the stairs inside it. Even the windows of the building were arranged according to the interior section game. Also inside the building, wood material has been used to create a sense of nature.

Villa by Nima Keivani

Chahar Gah Villa by Nima Keivani Chahar Gah in Iran, is situated in a territory on the western coast of the Caspian sea, a town called Anzali. A dwelling space wherein tries to invite surrounding environment neatly to inside and communicate eloquently. This building has tried to solve the visual boundaries between inside and outside and communicate with the changing seasons and adapt to it and use the natural process of air circulation for ventilation. At the same time its residents have a new experience of transparency and a free plan with have privacy and cozy places in the same time for better feeling change of seasons.

Lamp by Nima Keivani

The Home Lamp by Nima Keivani Creating a deeper connection between man and home is the conceptual goal of design. The use of copper metal, which inherently creates feels relaxed, is due to this concept. The user can control the light of the lamp with each touch of copper metal. The designer has been looking for deeper interaction with the lamp. four houses as a sign of the four main elements of life and soft and warm light which is in the center of them as a sign of consciousness, the type of light and shadow resulting from its combination with houses creates a feeling of Poetically space.
